whats_unproducibleStamp-930x209Launched in 2001, Studio 42 is New York’s producer of “unproducible” theater. Ripped straight out of rejection letters from theaters across the country, the word denotes scripts which are too big, too complicated, or too wild for other theaters or producers in their right minds!

Since being named Artistic Director in 2009, our community of playwrights has grown to include notable Tony-winners and Pulitzer-nominees. I have hosted productions, workshops, or readings with such writers as Rob Askins, Bekah Brunstetter, Charise Castro Smith, Joshua Conkel, Philip Dawkins, Dylan Dawson, Meghan Deans, Kristoffer Diaz, Edith Freni, Lucas Hnath, J Holtham, Nick Jones, JC Lee, Mike Lew, William Meny, Michael Mitnick, Gregory S. Moss, Mark O’Donnell, Kim Rosenstock, Erica Saleh, Rachel Shukert, and Adam Szymkowicz, Ken Urban, and Lauren Yee.
